Q1. How did your career journey start? Or who/what inspired you to start this business / entrepreneurship?

Contrary to common belief, there was never a single distinct point in my professional career which made me realize that I had to change my stream of operations. With an MBA in Human Resources and a decade of training experience, I was set in my ways.

However, there was always a sense of impending change looming over me at all points in my career as I knew that my knack to observe human behavior, to see untapped potentials within them would someday manifest itself into something huge. This gestation period of something culminating of my habits was my inspiration to alter my career path and do something that made me joyous! Co-fouding Vinspire – an unequaled knowledge sharing platform which gets like minded people and eager learners on the same stage was a by-product of this inspired career alteration.

Q2. Kindly share some information about your business, products and services here.

“It is not what you are underneath, but what you do, that defines you!” This quote has never failed to amaze me and in its wake, it has often made me realize that we are all living dual lives, oblivious to who we are. The products and services catered by Image Impetus tries to bridge this gap between dual lives and thereby, bringing to the fore, who you really are as a person.

So, at Image Impetus we offer our services to individuals as well as corporate and tend to every minute detail of their personality, right from evaluating their body and face shape to their wardrobes to the etiquette and body language to the communication prowess and maximizing their personal style and lifestyle statements. Similarly for our corporate clientele, we arrange various forms of workshops for their employees,
imparting knowledge about their appearance, communication, and etiquette in general. In addition, we also have a one on one counseling session for them to help them cross any bridge too difficult.

Q3. What kind of challenges did you face while starting / doing business?

The word challenge reminds me of this beautiful line by Helen Keller and I quote. “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.” This quote helped me channelize the inner fears about the foreseeable challenges of business. The one thought that kept me going on this path was that if I wasn't prepared to tackle and win over my own demons, there was no way I could have helped anybody else. And sustaining yourself in this business by being a hypocrite was not an option.

So i had to unlearn all that I had learnt over a period of time, and re-learn so many aspects of the human psyche, dealing with emotions, learning the traits of business and gradually bringing myself to a point where I could be an inspirational example for all those who walked into my office.

Q4. Do share with our readers about your discovery period when you were facing difficulties in your business?

My experience suggests that venturing into the unknown presents challenges on a more personal level than professional. Image management is one of the most untapped streams of business and to make a living in it meant that my personal stance had to be more thorough and crystal so that I could connect with my clientele on a much deeper level. This realization saw me take various forms of training and coaching to fine tune my natural instincts and subsequently, hone it in a way that would help as many individuals as I possibly could.

Q5. Share with our readers about your experiment period after the discovery period?

As I mentioned earlier, there was a lot unlearning that had to be done, in order to re-learn the basics. This experimentation period has been one of the most challenging and fruitful periods of my life as it was firmly supported by my thought process that I could not be an inspiration and of help to anyone unless I was setting the right example for my clientele.

It was in this period that I amassed knowledge and experience from all possible quarters, started implementing them in places and situations I deemed fit and improved my personal self to become successful professionally.

Q6. What are your future plans? Or what is your vision for the next five years?

The whole focus of Image Impetus has been to extend a hand to individuals who are dealing with life’s challenges, seemingly back-footed.

To create an opportunity for these individuals to be toe-to-toe with life is our vision and reaching out to as many individuals as we can is our mission. So I see myself doing this for the next five years and hopefully, do a small part to spread a certain sense of happiness around.

Q7. How would you advice / suggest new entrepreneurs who want to start and sustain in business?

Being an eternal student of a classroom called life, my advice to fellow entrepreneurs, in general and specially to those who wish to get into Image management would be to be more observant of everything that surrounds you. Pick up on little fragments of information, muster the strength to seek, develop your skills, practice what you preach and don’t settle for anything less than perfection.
