Q1. How did your career journey start? Or Who/What inspired you to start this business/ entrepreneurship?
My journey started when a renowned Celebrity Photographer clicked my portfolio. After that I was featured in Television / Print Ads for many popular brands. I also did couple of television serials. But I realized that an actor’s journey is incomplete without a mentor and proper training. It was then I started to conduct training on Acting. I believe principles of Acting can help everyone improve their personality. It is not necessary that one has to get into the field of Acting. A doctor can improve his listening skills whereas an executive can improve his presentation skills using some techniques of ‘Acting’.
Q2. Kindly share some information about your Business, products and services here.
At Seven Stones Film academy, we teach not only Acting but also Film Making. It is for those individuals who would like to make a career in the entertainment industry. In fact, we mentor students and guide them for a successful career in the entertainment industry. By using the principles of Acting and Theater, we also train individuals in the Art of Public Speaking/Presentation Skills.
Q3. What kind of challenges did you face while starting/doing business?
Although students could be convinced but the hindrance came from parents who were unsure of this career. I also had to find ways to connect to my audience who although were ready but skeptical to pay the fees.
Q4. Do share with our readers about your discovery period when you were facing difficulties in your business?
Since, mine is a showbiz, I decided to get into collaborations. I made an advisory board of casting directors, known actors and writers of the Film industry.
Q5. Share with our readers about your experiment period after the discovery period?
Students, when they enroll, ask about the guarantee of getting assignments. We tell them that Bollywood works only on merits. We hence had to associate ourselves with casting directors, executive producers so that our students could get opportunities.
Q6. What are your future plans? Or now what is your vision for next five years?
We want to train more students as opportunities are plenty. Even regional content is being made. We have to convince people of this great career in the entertainment industry.
Q7. How would you advice/suggest new entrepreneurs who want to start & sustain in business?
Focus on your content and keep some patience. Thrive to give quality with integrity so that you get ‘Ration’ from your ‘Passion’.
