Q1. How did your career journey start? Or Who/What inspired you to start this business/ entrepreneurship? My career started way back in 199...
My career started way back in 1999 post finishing graduation from Jai Hind College. Used to perform on stage for college shows and from there got keen on pursuing singing as a career. My biggest source of inspiration at that time was Dandiya queen Falguni Pathak and she is the reason why I decided to join this career. Also this profession allows you to travel a lot in different cities and countries if successful.
Q2. Kindly share some information about your Business, products and services here.
I am a singer performer entertainer and my company Piyush And The Fine Tuners provide for live musical stage shows and entertainment events for weddings and corporate clients. Basically we are one stop shop for all your entertainment requirements and we customise musical events according to the requirement of our clients.
Q3. What kind of challenges did you face while starting/doing business?
Being a new comer the first and the foremost difficulty was to get visibility and a chance to perform with event organisers. Also learning from experienced and senior artists and at the same time facing competition from them was the biggest challenge faced.What kind of songs to perform which would be liked by audiences of different kinds was also quite challenging.
Q4. Do share with our readers about your discovery period when you were facing difficulties in your business?
I have always been a leader and led by example. Piyush And The Fine Tuners provide for live musical stage shows and finding new clients was my biggest challenge as i am not the kinds who would relax. In the process have discovered quality work more than quantity work which sets me apart from other performers.
Q5. Share with our readers about your experiment period after the discovery period?
I had discovered very early in my career that the profession I have chosen is purely out of my passion for music which may or may not be sustainable in the long term. But despite of all the ups and downs I never changed my path or chose any other profession. I truly believe that one must completely and totally excel in one particular field of business and explore it to the fullest which I am still doing.
Q6. What are your future plans? Or now what is your vision for next five years?
To keep doing quality shows and events and at the same time explore the world of digital content. Am coming out with a few cover versions soon and in the process collaborating with a lot of talented artists. Believe in the saying Visibitly + Credibility = Profitability. Jo dikhta hai vo bikta hai.
Q7. How would you advice/suggest new entrepreneurs who want to start & sustain in business?
Follow your dreams and passion by identifying what you are good at. Make your product and after sales service speak. If in the hospitality industry treat your client as god as client servicing is the only way forward.
