During my childood I was always fascinated to become a doctor. In fancy dress competition in schools, I used to play the role of dr always. This fascination of mine was inspired by my father, who was a successful doctor by himself, but who expired when I was just 7 yrs. Since then I had always in my mind to be a Dr.

"DIVYADRASHTI EYE CARE CENTRE" is a Comprehensive Eye care centre in Borivli (West).
This concept of providing all Ophthalmological sub-specialities for diagnosis & treatment under one roof was started by Dr.Nimesh P. Mehta at the above mentioned Centre on Jan 28th ’2001. “DIVYADRASHTI” is housing at a single Centre all modern & technologically advanced facilities for diagnosis, treatment and care of eye patients.
The Centre provides treatment facilities from Cataract, Glaucoma, Squint, Retina, Oculoplastics, Pediatric Ophthalmology, Cornea, Contact Lenses, NeuroOphthalmology, Retinal Lasers and Refractive Surgery.
Each sub-speciality has the most advanced and sophisticated equipments for accurate diagnosis and excellent treatment. All the above are taken care of by a smart team of Consultants & experienced nursing staff. Each Speciality is taken care of by eminent Ophthalmologists trained in that particular field. An efficient management group along with paramedics, Optometrists, nurses, computer operators and a friendly reception staff supports them.
Within 2 years of starting this centre, it added one more feather to its cap. DIVYADRASHTI EYE CARE CENTRE® has been found to be conforming to the requirements as per International standards and have been given the ISO 9001 : 2000 Certification – one amongst the first Eye Hospital in the city of Mumbai. The Certificate is a UKAS Accrediated, issued by U.K governed BVQI.
3. What kind of challenges did you face while starting/doing business?
I hail from a middle class family, & after my fathers death, all our financial resourses exhausted in my medical education. To start a huge comprehensive centre with all latest gadgets require a lot of financial back-up. It took me 6 years to gather that kind of funds & confidence to start this centre.
4. Do share with our readers about your discovery period when you were facing difficulties in your business?
I am thankful to all my bankers & few close friends who provided me the loans to fulfil my dreams. Getting bank -loans became easy because all my income was officially been declared & my bank statements were very strong enough to get loans from any bank. & Remember take one loan at a time. Dont burden yourself so much that it affects your professional work.

A very happy & satisfying experience. It boosts your morale.
6. What are your future plans? Or now what is your vision for the next five years?
To expand the infrastructure, expand my charitable wing so that more & more poor people get the benefits & start few more centres in the country.
7. How would you advice/suggest new entrepreneurs who want to start & sustain in business?
Be loyal to your work & profession, dont do wrong work & believe in quality work. Hard & sincere work always pays. Its a win-win situation.
