Q1. How did your career journey start? Or Who/What inspired you to start this business/ entrepreneurship?
Dont really remember how and when it started. I have inherited art from my mum. Since childhood have been doing different kinds of art. But yes professionally established the fact that I want to be an artist around 12 yrs ago, when I conceived my baby and decided to do his 3d castings, and later my passion for art and love for kids, I decided to do this professionally.
Q2. Kindly share some information about your Business, products and services here.
I am into 3d casting for kids, couple hands, faces, pregnant bellies, cold casting in metal for the same, resin casts, resin paintings, resin sculptures, resin jewelry and a lot more. Since my creative mind is never at rest, I keep coming up with new products every now and then.
Q3. What kind of challenges did you face while starting/doing business?
Well honestly my biggest challenge was selling something that people had never heard of, something which was expensive, something people didn't feel the need for and also to someone (new parents) who didn't have to time to be online and were unreachable otherwise. My other challenge was nobody in my family comes from a business background, so there was absolutely no knowledge abt how to go ahead, thankfully I had full support of my family.
Q4. Do share with our readers about your discovery period when you were facing difficulties in your business?
I never saw anything as a difficulty, it always only felt like a challenge or a situation which i had to cross. I have been a stubborn personality since childhood, and thankfully my parents always guided me to chanellize my attitude to achieve my aims. So whenever i did face a situation i took it up as a challenge and did overcome it. I always had my focus on what lies beyond the situation and that kept me motivated.
Q5. Share with our readers about your experiment period after the discovery period?
Well, as a creative person, my experiment period is still on. I never stop experimenting. I start feeling uncomfortable being in comfort zone for too long. Like.. about the time when I achieved miniature castings, I was the first one in India to be able to do that. As far as I remember that was the longest i stayed in my comfort zone after i achieved that. And then my quest for new waters started again. So technically I am still in my experiment zone.
Q6. What are your future plans? Or now what is your vision for next five years?
Being an artist, my thinking cap is always directed to my field. I want to open an academy where I can train artists to do what they can do best and to teach them all that I know. Also if possible I would love to ignite that fire within them, which does not let you rest... that craving to do something more...
Q7. How would you advice/suggest new entrepreneurs who want to start & sustain in business?
See the silver lining. In every situation that you face, it's important to stay positive and to be able to see what lies beyond it. Once you are able to focus and stay positive in your attitude, then there's no stopping you.
