Q1. How did your career journey start? Or Who/What inspired you to start this business/ entrepreneurship?

My career started out of pure passion for teaching people how to change their lives in the same way that mine was changed.  My journey began many years ago when I was nearly killed while riding my bicycle to school, as I was run over by a car traveling at over 80 kilometers per hour.  I learned that we only get one shot in life, and it can all be taken away from us at any point with no warning.  So I changed the way I saw my life, my goals, and my relationships.  But even though I had promised myself to live a life of greatness, I struggled for the next 20 years with achieving my goals.  And then in 2005, at a seminar, a life coach helped me identify and remove the biggest block to my success - a belief inside me that was limiting my ability to achieve.  After that point, I simply wanted to share what I learned with anybody who would listen.  So I started speaking to any group that would have me, and eventually my speaking and coaching career took off.

Q2. Kindly share some information about your Business, products and services here.

My company is called MVP Success Systems, Inc.  We are a transformational coaching company that helps people overcome their biggest internal and external obstacles so they can aggressively pursue their goals and dreams while living a life of passion, purpose and presence.  We have many audio programs, coaching services and seminars to serve people in their journey.

Q3. What kind of challenges did you face while starting/doing business?

The biggest challenges for me were all internal.  Mostly, it was belief in myself.  Anytime we want to grow beyond our current circumstances, that growth is very uncomfortable and causes most people to quit.  And many times I had the same urge to quit on myself and my dreams.  But what kept me going was the belief I had from my family, and knowing there are people in the world who need to hear my message.  I was able to source my strength through them, which was much more powerful than what I could get only from myself.

Q4. Do share with our readers about your discovery period when you were facing difficulties in your business?

What I realized in my darkest hours is that it's okay to be afraid.  It's okay to feel nervous.  It's okay to doubt yourself.  Not only is all of that okay, it's normal and natural in the growth process.  When I allowed myself to be an authentic human being, and gave myself permission to share my most vulnerable stories with my audiences, everything changed in a positive way for me.  Not only was my message more attractive, my work was easier to me.  I enjoyed it more and that passion showed in all that I did and still do.

Q5. Share with our readers about your experiment period after the discovery period?

Once I got over the need to be 'perfect' and allowed myself to instead be human, I was able to take risks again, just like I used to when I was a young boy.  I had stopped risking for a long period of time because I was afraid to fail.  As soon as I realized that all great accomplishments come on the other side of failure, I embraced whatever outcomes I was meant to receive.  I understood that the only way for me to create what I wanted in the world was to take action, receive the feedback openly, and adjust accordingly.  I've found that when you remove the negative emotional attachment most of us have to achievement, life gets 100 times easier.  And, as a bonus, we actually achieve way more because our self esteem is not at stake.  This is one of the biggest lessons of life I've ever learned.

Q6. What are your future plans? Or now what is your vision for next five years?

Over the next 5-10 years in my career, I am committed to expanding my platform many many times over.  For me, that includes writing many books, speaking on many stages, certifying as many life coaches as I can, and overall adding as much value to the lives of others as I know how to.

Q7. How would you advice/suggest new entrepreneurs who want to start & sustain in business?

Make sure you begin with the fundamentals of business.  Make sure you know the reasons why you're beginning your new career, because only those deep and meaningful reasons why have the power to overcome the desires to quit when the going gets a little rough (and it almost always will).  Invest in yourself by always going to personal development seminars and participating in coaching programs.  The investment in yourself will always provide the highest returns.  And make sure you hire a private coach who can help you get where you want to go, who can hold you accountable to your purpose and goals, and who can bring things out of you that you cannot bring out on your own.  Coaching is one of the most critical pieces of success, but unfortunately not very many people have a coach.
