Q1. How did your career journey start? Or Who/What inspired you to start this business/ entrepreneurship?
I had been working on big Civil construction projects for almost 10 years under big names in construction. As a hobby, I used to take additional contracts of interior designing. Due to the customer appreciation received, I felt drawn towards the interior design business and decided that I would like to go ahead and turn my hobby into my profession. The fact that I was aware of all vendors and methods of contractors helped me immensely to turn the clients vision of their dream home into reality.
Q2. Kindly share some information about your Business, products and services here.
Goldbricks Interio basically aims to provide an escape from the tensed world once you enter you home and lock the door behind you. Our aim is to provide the type of design client has envisioned and/or seen on internet so as to make it as possible as their liking and comfort.
Q3. What kind of challenges did you face while starting/doing business?
Through our initial journey we discovered that people like a design on the internet and assume the cost to be very low to what it would take to achieve the said design so the most challenging part was to create a balance between cost effectiveness and the design with good quality material. This is where our decade of experience came very handy to us.
Q4. Do share with our readers about your discovery period when you were facing difficulties in your business?
The initial period was the toughest because normally clients are hesitant to try new players in the business which is understood. We learnt a lot about client interaction and gaining their confidence in our work. I will not refrain myself from saying that multiple rejections in the initial stages were quiet the motivation for us to not stop and keep heading forward which helped us to grow our own communication with client to make them believe in us.
Q5. Share with our readers about your experiment period after the discovery period?
We experimented a lot right down to our conversation skills, body language, our dressing, our skill set of 3D designing so as to give the customer the way their house will look before starting the work. We learnt that customer interaction increased because once they could see the 3D layout of the design they would themselves suggest changes and improvements and were readily accepted the design as they were assured the house looked the way they always wanted.
Q6. What are your future plans? Or now what is your vision for next five years?
Our future plans for next 5 years include providing 3D designs to various clients as well as other interior firms so that we have a wider range of service through internet.
Also our vision includes exterior civil work and designs and also we would like to work in countryside/rural areas to provide a functional design to homes with respect to their profession using environment friendly equipment and material.
Q7. How would you advice/suggest new entrepreneurs who want to start & sustain in business?
The advice I would give to new entrepreneurs is to not give up on their dream. Be inspired by your dream and don’t feel dejected by failure. Consider every rejection as a motivation to do better.
