Q1. How did your career journey start? Or Who/What inspired you to start this business/ entrepreneurship?

My Journey to start my Brand - IMAGINATIONS is divided in two parts. In Year 1997, after clearing Grade 12th, I mastered the skill of  Vastu and started my consultancy with a renowned Vastu Consultant and Architect. My Brand "Imagination" was born in 1998 when people started approaching me to do freelance consultancy with them. I also started doing Interior Designing along with Vastu Consultancy along with my Graduation studies in Delhi.

Art was always within me. It's my mother who always had it in her to make us constantly busy with something that's what makes me what I am today. Never to stop never to lose hope. I had started painting and sketching at a very early age. In year 2001, along with Interiors and Vastu, I started making Tanjore Paintings, started selling them to high profile cream in Delhi. Through Imaginations, I was using many other Art form to beautify my clients wall and IMAGINATION was at its peak with unconditional support of my Father. 

After 2006, I had to take a break as I had to shift to Mumbai with my family. During this time, I used to make small paintings and prepare Hand decorated stuff for my Kid's birthday party. As my kid grew up, I started finding time for myself and in 2016, I realised that my Art is calling me back and IMAGINATIONS had a rebirth. I had an unconditional support of my husband, both my kids, one of my most dear friend to restart my work and since then I never looked back. I truly owe Imaginations to them.

Q2. Kindly share some information about your Business, products and services here.

My Art Brand is named IMAGINATIONS - The Creative Design Studio. With an experience of conducting workshops for young artists of 7 yrs to experienced artists of 55 yrs, Imaginations organises number of customised Art and Craft workshops, Summer Camps, Canvas Painting workshops, Dot Painting workshops, Stone Painting, Corporate workshops, Christmas Carnival, Holi Event, Birthday Art Parties, Art Events, Woman's day events and many more.

We conduct Online Classes on my Social Media and it is named at "Teach me Thursday" - as Thursday is the Day of Goddess Saraswati who is the Giver of Knowledge. We also offer personalised and creative gifting solutions.

Q3. What kind of challenges did you face while starting/doing business?

When an Artist offers Services instead of Product, the cients do not value it with money. It's always associated to a free and easy product. Everyone expect to do the workshop for free and fail to understand the hard work put associated to that free and easy product. Afterall, Art is a talent that an Artist has which he/she is sharing. Wouldn't they be rewarded and respected for? Unfortunately, the same happened with me.

Q4. Do share with our readers about your discovery period when you were facing difficulties in your business?

There was no struggle for me in Delhi and things just got onto my way and I was just walking on it like a cake walk.

When in Mumbai, I had faced many difficulties. I realised that just being an artist and doing good work doesn't actually suffice the business. I need to be a good business person and should also be able to sell my services and work

Q5. Share with our readers about your experiment period after the discovery period?

Since I believe in learning all the time, I still experiment and had always. This should be ongoing and unstoppable.

Q6. What are your future plans? Or now what is your vision for next five years?

My vision is to spread Colors, make more Artist in the world and to take Imaginations to such a bigger platform where not only Non Artist come to learn but Artists from every place should come and share their Art and Skill.

Q7. How would you advice/suggest new entrepreneurs who want to start & sustain in business?

Keep doing your work, Never Stop and value your skill to get paid.
