Q1. How did your career journey start? Or Who/What inspired you to start this business/ entrepreneurship?
Everyone aspires and wants to be someone while growing up, a lot of people have role models as well. However, I had no clue where I would end up. Till 12th grade, I wanted to get into Clinical Psychology and I could not get it then took Sociology to get into socio-psychology. But soon realised that maybe I’m getting bored of being around books and sitting at home and needed a way out!
I then, discussed my future plans with my mother and she opened up my eyes & made me realise that since school I have been passionate towards Art and Craft and my mother (being from a Bollywood background) suggested me about the trending profession of being a Makeup Artist (MUA).
But I went to the makeup school to attend a workshop and realised that YES this is something I strongly feel about.
However my father was bit hesitant initially but soon he agreed I finally got myself admission in the makeup school.
Q2. Kindly share some information about your Business, products and services here.
I started with working in a Salon, in New Delhi and as the demand increased where in people started asking me to do their makeup every time they visited that salon and soon I realised of growing my own brand name.
Today I am a Freelance Makeup Artist by my own name, travelling all over the world, offering the best of my services like Bridal Makeup with hairstyling, Engagement makeover, pre-wedding function makeovers, Fashion / theme based makeups. Providing with Airbrush, high definition, 3D hairstyling techniques and quality experience.
I use all top International based brands for my services.
Q3. What kind of challenges did you face while starting/ doing business?
How to go about things and showing my work was a major issue. As I was working in a salon where we weren’t allowed to click pictures of our work hence I did not know how to show my work to get more work.
so I decided to do Free work or on collaboration which really helped me gain not just good pictures but contacts who fortunately recommended me later to get some paid work as well.
Before COVID 19, I was doing pretty well for myself, I was getting regular calls for makeup but as the lockdown started my career was at stand still. My clients' wedding dates got cancelled/postponed.
During Lockdown I realised that I have good time to engage with my clients online more.
Q5. Share with our readers about your experiment period after the discovery period?
During the Lockdown situation, to keep engaged with my clients I regularly posted some fun makeup videos, tutorials and makeup pictures on my Social Media to keep them entertained and to make sure they don’t forget that I exist. Taking makeup classes online through zoom and video calling is what now helps me get some basic income.
Q6. What are your future plans? Or now what is your vision for next five years?
I want to make a name in freelancing because I love travelling to different locations for my work and I also want to open my own studio.

is the success mantra for everyone who aspires to be an
entrepreneur. There will definitely be times where we will feel stuck but just stay committed and keep doing what you do. The doors will automatically open up for you in some way or the other.
